PepsiCo Design presenta “Mixology 2.0”

Milano, 13 aprile 2015 - #MIXITUP - In occasione della Milano Design Week, martedì 14 aprile 2015 PepsiCo apre le porte di “Mix It Up”, uno spazio espositivo dove poter ammirare le creazioni realizzate in collaborazione con designer di fama mondiale.

 

 
Pepsico ha infatti collaborato con Nicola Formichetti, Stefano Giovannoni, Italia Independent e Lapo Elkann, Kravitz Design, Fabio Novembre, Alex Ott, Design Group Italia, Karim Rashid, e Vogue Talents per dare vita a un’esposizione interattiva e coinvolgente, dove design, moda, musica e gusto si incontrano in un’esperienza unica e inaspettata.

Lo spazio “Mix It Up”, concepito da Design Group Italia, accoglie le recenti novità di PepsiCo Design che spaziano da innovazioni tecnologiche a packaging di prodotto, da esperienze sensoriali a life style 
 
Il contributo di Design Group Italia si estende inoltre al progetto di una delle creazioni protagoniste dell'Evento, la Kola Station.
 
Progettata insieme al design team di PepsiCo, la Kola Station sposa il contrasto fra tradizione e modernità con tubi di rame e lo sfondo di una parete nera, chiari rimandi all’artigianalità della produzione di birra e whiskey, oltre a cilindri di vetro pieni di ingredienti come noci di cola, polvere di cola e spezie.
 
Vi siete mai chiesti cosa ci sia dietro il gusto e la freschezza della noce di cola oltre la cola stessa? Incontrate Alex Ott, maestro alchimista e nutrizionista, per scoprirlo. Dietro al bancone del Kola Bar, infatti, svelerà la magia che si cela dietro al frutto della cola, creando cocktail che stimoleranno i sensi con un’esplosione di gusto che sorprenderà le papille gustative.
 
Tutti i giorni, infatti, Alex Ott realizzerà inediti drink a base di Kola Nut, la Noce di Cola; vere sinfonie di aromi e suggestioni create con la “Kola Station” l’installazione progettata da DesignGroup Italia che nella sua identità formale richiama l’idea di un organo a canne.

PepsiCo Design Collaborates with Global Leading Design Talent for “Mixology 2.0” Showcase
 
 
Milano, April 13, 2015 – #MIXITUP – Today, the PepsiCo Design Center opens its “Mix It Up” space for a week filled with design collaborations and exhibitions by leading talent during Milan Design Week, the design industry’s premiere international event.
 
#PepsiCoDesign collaborated with Nicola Formichetti, Stefano Giovannoni, Italia Independent and Lapo Elkann, Kravitz Design Inc., Fabio Novembre, Alex Ott, Design Group Italia, Karim Rashid, and Vogue Talents to showcase an interactive and engaging exhibit creating pop culture by blending design, fashion, music and culinary art in unique and unexpected ways.
 
The “Mix It Up” space, envisioned by Design Group Italia, showcases PepsiCo Design’s recent innovations across its leading brand portfolio of snacks and beverages, from product packaging and branding to equipment and experiences.
 
The contribution of Design Group Italia also extends to the design of one of the protagonists of the Event creations, the Kola Station.  
Designed with PepsiCo’s Design Team, the Kola Station marries the duality of tradition and modernity, with copper tubing along the back wall that references artisan beer and whiskey production, along with glass cylinders filled with ingredients such as kola nuts, kola powder and spices.
 
Ever wonder about the taste and refreshment of a kola nut beyond cola? Meet Alex Ott, master alchemist, author and nutritionist. Behind the Kola Bar, he will unveil the magic behind the kola nut, creating beverages that will stimulate the senses and offer bursts of flavors sure to surprise taste buds.
 
Every day Alex Ott will make new and original kola-nut based drinks: real symphonies of flavors and suggestions created with the “Kola Station”, the installation designed by Design Group Italia inspired by the pipe organ.
